Taking ownership of a range of projects from <£2 million up to £40 million, you will manage and deliver Water Engineered Systems projects, from order to execution and according to agreed contracts, supporting teams across SUEZ with new orders and modifications to existing projects.

Working with the Project Team Leader for Engineered Systems, your core responsibility and deliverable will be to improve project margin, through accurate forecasting, financial management and on-time-delivery, resulting in customer satisfaction and strengthened relationships, achieved through:

  • Being the primary contact for the customer, internal project team and stakeholders, relationship focussed and working to sound Project Management principles

  • Utilising the assigned Project Team and coordinating other functions, from IT & Engineering to sales and sourcing, evaluating customer specifications during project delivery or proposal development
  • Following the QMS procedures for Project Management, accurately reporting project status and driving budgeting, scheduling and scope of work
  • Actively seeking and executing change order opportunities, driving the benefits of material cost productivity activities into design and costing
  • Assisting with the training of peers and development of existing SUEZ WTS design standards, procedures and best practice, incorporating ‘Lessons Learned’ analysis throughout
  • Having a safety and compliance conscious approach and attitude.

What you will need? (Experience and qualifications)

Vital to this role is significant Project Management experience, demonstrating successful delivery of complex projects in similar industry sectors, with specific knowledge of Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contracts. Ideally with water / wastewater treatment and process experience, applicants from the energy or oil & gas sectors would also be welcomed, with additional backgrounds including:

  • A relevant degree (or equivalent) in Process, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering or related
  • Strong communication skills, spoken and written, with fluency in English and any other language highly beneficial
  • Knowledge of relevant ERP systems, ideally SAP
  • Able to use project management software such as Primavera P6, MS Project or similar

A proven project leader of multifunctional teams, emphasising and driving quality in all aspects, you will ensure the flow of any relevant information between all stakeholders. With SUEZ operating globally experience of working in international organisations will be required and, although primarily focussed on projects in the UK, there may be the opportunity to support other European projects.
