As a Shift Manager at SUEZ recycling and recovery UK, you’ll be contributing to an ever growing established company that’s helping customers reduce their impact on the environment, conserve natural resources and reduce landfill.

What will I be doing?

  • You’ll work with other members of the Processing team to maximise potential revenue from a varied feedstock and customer base, while achieving a very high quality and tightly specified product. 
  • To succeed, you must have acute awareness of production quality plus the ability to judge and act on any issues that arise.
  • You’ll also be expected to keep accurate records, help plan maintenance and ensure the plant runs in a safe, efficient way, in line with statutory regulations and Health & Safety legislation.
  • During your shifts, you’ll see that our plant runs smoothly, in line with environmental regulations. It means monitoring operations in the control room, inspecting plant operations and dealing with any problems as they arise.

What are the requirements?

  • Having managed a team in a production processing plant before, you’ll already have what it takes.
  • You can lead people, deliver against KPIs and work safely in a demanding processing environment.
  • Underpinning this expertise will be qualifications in Engineering or Manufacturing (or equivalent experience) and ideally Health & Safety (e.g. IOSH) with an awareness of manufacturing techniques including lean (Six Sigma) and continuous improvement.
  • You’ll be a skilled manager and qualified first aider with the drive to gain a COTC/WAMITAB qualification in 12 months (if you don’t have this already).
  • If you can also boast strong communication skills and the determination to excel, we’d definitely like to hear from you.
