Summary of vacancy

Are you a Maintenance Technician / Engineer with an Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) bias?

Have you worked in a production engineering / plant environment, with experience of process control and measurement equipment?

Use your knowledge to turn waste into power.

A greener, more environmentally-friendly UK is possible – and we’re making it happen. As an E&I Maintenance Technician at SUEZ, recycling and recovery UK, you’ll be contributing to an ever growing established recycling and recovery company that’s helping customers reduce their impact on the environment, conserve natural resources and reduce landfill.

What will I be doing as an E&I Maintenance Technician?

  • We’ll look to you to provide planned and reactive maintenance for all electrical and instrumentation areas of our plant. That means making sure plant installations and modifications meet the latest wiring standards and regulatory requirements.
  • At the same time, you’ll be a valued member of the team, supporting colleagues across different functions.
  • Our junior staff will look to you for guidance and supervision, as will contractors.

What are the requirements? (experience and qualifications)

  • To join us in this key role, you’ll have previous experience with Industrial electrical systems and Process Measurement & Control.
  • You’ll have learned about these areas through an Engineering Apprenticeship or similar and a previous maintenance engineering role based in a process, steam raising or heavy engineering environment.
  • Thanks to this background, you’ll be qualified to at least City & Guilds/NVQ level 3.
  • The ability to use Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Familiarity with BS 7671: 2008 17th edition wiring regulations.
  • Experience in DCS/SCADA systems, PLC Programming and Networks, C&G2394/5
  • Health & Safety qualification (e.g. IOSH) or equivalent would also be advantageous, but if not training will be provided.

Our approach

With a raft of benefits, family-friendly policies and excellent remuneration packages, there’s never been a better time to join SUEZ recycling and recovery UK.

A friendly and supportive place that you will love to work, we believe creativity, clear communication and our drive for excellence are the keys to our success. We also expect our people to be enthusiastic and responsible. If you share our thinking – and have the qualities we’re looking for – you could play a big part in our dedicated team.
