The Sales Manager will build relationships with their contacts and by understanding the dynamics of their businesses, will promote Latis Scientific with the key objective of driving sales growth.

Th purpose of the role is to lead Latis Scientific sales expansion in the Midlands/North of the UK through active generation of new business. This role is the driving force behind generating new sales leads and contacts and can be based anywhere in the North of the UK. This role is predominantly home based.

What will I be doing?

Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Manage the whole of the new business sales cycle from the follow up of new business opportunities, setting up meetings, submitting proposals culminating in closing the opportunity
  • To build and convert new sales pipeline
  • Meet new business sales target
  • Listen to customer requirements and present an appropriate and effective pitch in order to make a sale.
  • Plan and work towards meeting sales targets and budgets
  • Develop new business contacts and clients for Latis Scientific
  • Learn the technical aspects of Latis Scientific’s clients and their requirements.
  • Prepare monthly reports for designated client groups; listing sample numbers, customer complaints and enquiries and attend regular sales meetings.
  • Keep abreast of water testing technologies and maintain a thorough understanding of the market by attending conferences and committees pertinent to their technical specialty where appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities within Salesforce.
  • Report on activities and provide relevant information to management.
  • At all times work towards personal, Company and Group targets.
  • Deliver sales in accordance with targets, as set by management annually.
  • Assist in the writing and submitting of tenders.
  • To coordinate with the operations team and provide commercial support.

What are the requirements?

  • Qualified to degree level or equivalent in suitable discipline.
  • Any sales qualifications, while not essential, would be desirable.
  • Experience in selling products or services.
  • Water and laboratory industry experience.
  • Technical background in Legionella analysis and related business. 
  • Technical background in water analysis within the Medical Devices/Healthcare industry while not essential, would be desirable
  • Proven record of success in a sales related role/industry.
