As an Organics Chemist at Derwentside Environmental Testing Services (DETS), who offer a wide range of high quality accredited analytical services for the environmental, construction, waste, fuel and engineering industries, you’ll be helping customers reduce their impact on the environment . 

We are currently looking for a Chemist to join our team in Consett. Working Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours per week with an option for overtime,  a pension scheme, as well as other benefits.

Reporting into the Senior Chemist your duties will include the day to day analysis of samples, and preparation of reagents/standards in accordance with specified test procedures using a range of analytical techniques. The calculation, interpretation & checking of analytical results, housekeeping and being part of the weekend rota.

Applicants must be qualified to HNC or Degree in an appropriate discipline or have 3 years Laboratory experience.
