What will I be doing as a Laboratory Assistant?

Working in a new laboratory assisting with the preparation and processing of Incinerator Bottom Ash to UKAS ISO 17025 standards. Utilising balances, jaw crushers, grinding mills and sample splitters to achieve a refined sample ready for Aqua Regia digestion prior to analysis. Gravimetric analysis and basic wet chemistry procedures will be employed to contribute to final reporting of data.

What are the requirements? (Experience and qualifications)

Applicants should hold a minimum of an A Level or equivalent in Chemistry.

Experience of laboratory sample preparation techniques is desirable.

Experience of working in a quality orientated environment is desirable.
