As a result we are now looking for an Asbestos Analyst top join our Asbestos Team.

About the role

As an Asbestos Analyst at Derwentside Environmental Testing Services (DETS), who offer a wide range of high quality accredited analytical services for the environmental, construction, waste, fuel and engineering industries, you’ll be helping customers reduce their impact on the environment . 

What will I be doing?
As an Asbestos Analyst you will be providing support to our customers for the analysis of bulk materials and soils for the presence of asbestos in accordance with HSE publication HSG 248. You’ll be calculating, interpreting and analysing the results, as well as participating in the AISS.

What are the requirements?

You will hold a BOHS Proficiency Certificate ( P401 ) and preferably a minimum of 1 year experience in the analysis of asbestos samples.
