The Role

This position is a permanent position.

The working hours are Tuesday – Saturday with occasional Monday AM working.

The pay rate for this role is £11.79 per hour rising to £23.58 for Saturday PM, plus single manning allowance.

What will I be doing?

What will I be doing as a Class 2 Driver?

Our site at Avonmouth operates Class 2 LGV vehicles including RoRo, Skip, Front End Loaders (FEL’s) and RCV (Euro) trade waste vehicle. You may also occasionally be required to work at other locations within the region, for which a travelling allowance is payable.

The role will involve the driving and operation of mainly RCV vehicles collecting commercial waste from our customers, Tuesday – Saturday delivering a high standard of service and ensuring compliance with our customer’s Health and Safety rules as well as our own at all times.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate a passion for professional driving coupled with good communication skills and a willingness to be part of a successful hardworking team delivering a high level of customer service.

An LGV Class 2 license as well as a CPC card are essential.

Experience of working in the waste industry is desirable though not essential.

Experience of working with roll on roll off, skip, front end loaders or trade waste RCV is desirable but not essential as training will be given where necessary.
