About the role

The Role

This position is based at Pool, and is on a 6 month temporary contract, possibly permanent for the right candidate.

The working hours are 40 hours per week Monday to Friday with the opportunity to work overtime.

The rate of pay for this role will be £8.99 per hour, with overtime being paid at £13.49 per hour.

What will I be doing?

Operating a 7.5 tonne box lorry or 3.5 tonne van collecting bulky household items.

This role will involve the driving and loading of vehicles working in 2 man teams, completing multiple collections per day from households across Cornwall on set weekdays, delivering a high standard and ensuring compliance with our customer's Health and Safety rules as well as our own at all times.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate reliability, good communication skills and a willingness to be part of a successful hardworking team delivering a high level of customer service.

A C1 driving licence, digital tachograph card and CPC card are essential for the position of the driver as well as being capable of lifting heavy items if required.
