About the role

The Role

Based at Bodmin this position is for a Temporary 6 month contract which may become permanent for the right applicant.

The working hours are 5 x 9.5 hours shifts per week which will include Satudays and Sundays, two consecutive rest days per week can be negotiated and then fixed to provide a set working week.

The pay rate for this role is £10.00 per hour Monday - Saturday with overtime calculated daily at £15.00 per hour, Sundays and Bank holidays at double time (£20.00 per hour). Annual basic salary for this role is £29,721.

Driving and operating a Class 2 LGV RoRo vehicle

Collecting contract waste from various household waste recycling facilities under the Cornwall PFI contract

Delivering a high standard and ensuring compliance with our customer’s Health and Safety rules as well as our own at all times.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate a passion for professional driving coupled with good communication skills and a willingness to be part of a successful hardworking team delivering a high level of customer service.

An LGV Class C licence, digital tachograph card as well as a CPC card are essential.

Experience of operating a roll on roll off lorry in the waste industry is desirable though not essential as full training will be provided.
