This position is a Permanent position

The working hours are 42.5 hours per week Tuesday - Sunday(10 day per fortnight on a rotational shift). Winter hours 8am to 4pm Summer hours 8am to 6pm

The pay rate for this role is up to £8.57 per hour.

What will I be doing?

Providing an outstanding and dedicated customer service, greeting customers with a smile and advising members of the public on waste to be recycled

Managing the flow of customers into the site, ensuring that the site adheres to opening and closing times

Permit checking and ensuring full compliance with policies and procedures.

Assisting customers - removing heavy items from the boot of a car, carrying heavy items for them

Manual handling of items, some of which will be bulky such as furniture, in and out of the Reuse shop.

Maintaining the cleanliness of the site, including sweeping up litter and debris.

Ensuring SUEZ complies fully with its legal duties in respect of the health, safety and welfare of its employees and of other people who may be affected by his/her actions or omissions.

Co-operating with SUEZ and with other employees in order to comply with the site permit, comply with all applicable legislation, and SUEZ Policies and Procedures.

Operating mobile plant (full training will be given if required)

Any other duties that are reasonably requested within the scope of the job-role.

We are looking for someone who is self-motivated whilst also an enthusiastic team player, with a passion for customer service, to join the team at Suez Enfield as a gatekeeper to the site.

Having a customer service background would be advantageous, a history of working with the public is essential as this is a customer facing role. We would like someone who is honest and has a passion for recycling and believes in the Suez vision of wanting to live in a society where there is no more waste.

This is an outdoor manual role, so the successful candidate must be comfortable with working in various weather conditions and comfortable with sorting through waste, pulling bags out of containers, potentially up to 25kg, involving a high degree of stretching and twisting
