A Team Leader positions has become available at our operation at Victoria Road in West London, the post requires the successful person to work to within a team to develop operation and recycling and will also be required to carry a wide range of duties including plant operations, Weighbridge duties, general site duties, administration and all aspects of SUEZ Business Systems.

About the role

This post is an ideal opportunity to assist in developing the site to meet the current aspiration of SUEZ, to work closely with customers to maximise the recycling recovery rates.

The hours are averaged at 45 hrs per week.

Working 5 out of 7 days with 2 allocated days off during the week including 2 weekends.

 

 

What will I be doing?

Successful applicants will need to be confident in operating various plant and machinery with an understanding of defect reporting procedures and in compliance with  Health and Safety and SUEZ Safe Systems of Work.

  • Carry out instructions and pass on instructions from management and supervisors to maximise the full potential of the site and staff.
  • Accurate recording of data from SUEZ  and software systems on site,
  • Maintaining a tidy site, carrying out general cleaning duties and maintenance in accordance with 5S
  • Ensure the continual implementation and progression of all SUEZ Business Systems including continual Improvements, CSF’s and Organisational Clarity.
  • Ensuring that within his/her areas of responsibility, SUEZ complies fully with its legal duties in respect of the health, safety and welfare of its employees  and of other people who may be affected by his/her actions or omissions
  • Computer literate and have basic numeracy skills
  • Be an excellent communicator with a good telephone manner
  • Co-operating with SUEZ and with other employees in order to comply with site permit, all applicable legislation and SUEZ Policies and Procedures
  • Any other duties that are reasonably requested within the scope of the job-role.

What are the requirements?

We are looking for an enthusiastic team player, who will be expected to obtain a full working understanding of the site licence / permit and who will work to ensure site operations exceed the standards required. As the post requires a variety of tasks to be completed a flexible approach to work is required. The successful applicant will be required to undertake personal development to obtain skills for waste acceptance, maintenance of site equipment, infrastructure and operation of site machinery.   

Having good computer skills for the input and recording of data on SUEZ systems will also be advantageous.

Further training and development will be available

Please note although mobile plant operator experience is preferred it is not essential as full in-house training will be provided,

Basic IT is essential and full training on specific software programs will also be provide
