As a Mobile Plant Operative at SUEZ recycling and recovery UK, you’ll be contributing to an ever growing established company that’s helping customers reduce their impact on the environment, conserve natural resources and reduce landfill.

About the role

The Role

This is permanent, full time position.

The working hours are 06:00 – 16:00 from Monday to Friday with occasional Weekends as required.

The pay rate for this role is £9.64 per hour.


What will I be doing?

What will I be doing as a Mobile plant Operative ?

  • Carry out instructions issued by the Site Supervisor or Site Manager.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of mobile plant in compliance with Safe systems of work.
  • Maintaining a tidy site, carrying out general cleaning duties and routine maintenance and daily mobile plant checks.
  • Ensuring that within their areas of responsibility, SUEZ complies fully with its legal duties in respect of the health, safety and welfare of its employees and of other people who may be affected by their actions.
  • Cooperating with SUEZ and with other employees in order to comply with site permit, all applicable legislation and SUEZ Policies and Procedures.
  • Any other duties that are reasonably requested within the scope of the job-role.

What are the requirements?

  • Enthusiastic team player who will work to ensure site operations exceed the standards required to maximise production.
  • Experience operating Processing Plants and a mechanical aptitude a distinct advantage.
  • Experienced mobile plant operator (Front end Loading shovel) is essential.
  • A licenced operator would have a distinct advantage. 
  • Willing to undertake training both on site and off site (may require occasional travel).
  • As the post requires a variety of tasks to be completed, a flexible approach to work is required.
