About the role

What will I be doing?

What will I be doing as a Production Maintenance Technician?

Working on a rotating (6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm and 10pm-6am) shift basis, your team will be responsible for keeping the plant in good running order, using your skills and experience to maintain mechanical, electrical and diagnostic equipment, ensuring that health and safety is the priority. This will be done through reactive and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) as well as a cleaning programme. The key is to see the big picture: it’s important that you understand the needs of internal customers and balance this against financial targets.

What are the requirements (Experience and qualifications)?

You’ll have a strong Mechanical background, with some base Electrical knowledge, ideally qualified through an Engineering Apprenticeship or with substantial equivalent experience. This should include working in maintenance engineering roles within manufacturing / production engineering environments, with hands on knowledge of equipment including conveyors, motors, gearboxes, hydraulics and pneumatics, with basic electrical experience highly beneficial. Ideally qualified to City & Guilds/NVQ level 3, SUEZ take pride through investing in the training and development of their staff so additional qualifications required, which can be gained on joining, include Health & Safety (IOSH). The ability to use Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is also desirable.
